Recently, a video clip of a monk sitting in a big oil pot chanting while people put fire from the bottom of the pot has gone viral on the social media and news agencies. It has been also a talk among the academic that this cannot be true.
With the viral video, someone has posted another video doing the same but showing all the process of how it was done until the monk sit into the boiling pot. It makes sense to see from the preparation that those materials put in the pot before pulling oil into it could be the insulator preventing most of the heating penetrating.
Still, with all those mixing with the oil, I think all material in the pot could suck in all the heat as well. So, what's the real trick here. I still do not believe that the people sitting in that pot cannot feel the hotness at all.
